Breaking Financial Limits
Theme Scripture: 3 JOHN 1:2

Key Points

  • The Bible is a book of portraits. When we assume those portraits, we begin to command certain results. Concerning the things we desire; they do not come because we need them. They come because we have assumed a state they recognize and are attracted to.
  • Men can become all they desire by looking into specific portraits and by aligning to them (2 Corinthians 3:18). As behold the portraits from scripture, we are being changed into that same image. Even Issac was able to discover how to prosper in a land of famine because he knew something others did not know. He assumed a portrait (Genesis 26:12). We can thrive, excel, and prosper even in an unfavorable economy when we understand this truth.
  • We do not get things because we need them. We collect them when we know exactly what to do to receive them. It is vital to acquire wealth because unfortunately, lack silences our voice and shorts our wisdom. The Bible says that the wisdom of the poor is not heard (Ecclesiastes 9:15-16). Poor men are not remembered even when they are considered wise.We must aggressively study scripture and receive the keys that will get us out of poverty. Therefore, the fight against poverty must be broken, so our children will never face the reproach that poverty makes.
  • A limitation is a hinderance and a barrier that defines a restriction. Limitations can create a lack of resources puts a restraint on men, which does not allow them to maximize their potential. Even a man’s life can be limited by the tools he has available to him. We all can do better when we have better. One way to know that we are under limitation is to ask, “What would I have done differently if I had all the money to do it?”  There are limitations that must be broken in every generation, and it takes one man to stand up and set a new order. Wealth can begin with one man in the family.
  • A man’s choice does not have to be determined by his pocket. We all have the potential to walk in a limitless life and reality.

Why Does the Devil Seek to Keep Us Financially Poor?

  1. To Stop Our Progress.

Progress requires money and prosperity. Prayer gives us vision, but money gives us motion. Prayer will tell us what to do, but money will make us do it. Motion is money.

  • He Wants to Slow Our Movement.

When we arrive is just as important as our arrival. The “when” is just as important as the arrival itself. This is why the psalmist David cried, “Satisfy Me Early!” (Psalm 90:14). It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young (Lamentations 3:27). May we not start while men are preparing to retire! There is always the takeoff, cruising, and landing phase on a plane. The only thing we can do at takeoff is hope that we can takeoff and reach the stage to cruise. We cannot afford to stay in this stage for long, we must strive to cruise. We must speak against slowed movement and run with the speed of glory. “When we put our feet where giants walk, we begin to take giant steps.” May we all arrive at our destination with God Speed in Jesus name!

  • To Prevent Us from Getting to Our Goals.

Goals can be achieved faster when we have more money. Therefore, the enemy tries to limit our access to it, but there are scriptures we can pray to cause things to come to us. Also, the distance between where we are, and our goals is time. The thing that we call time can be bought with money. When we pattern ourselves according to a certain portrait, we will break the back of hardship forever.

If We Want to Be Connected to The Resources of God and Break Financial Limitations There Are Certain Things We Must Do:

  1. Put God First (Matt 6:33).

Nobody has gone after money first and found it in addition to finding prosperity, because many got destroyed on their journey to money. What proceeds genuine prosperity is a calling and a purpose. Many can find money in other ways, but they will never find fulfillment in it.

Majorly, what is fighting men is not Satan. It is ignorance and a lack of ability to pursue knowledge. (Hosea 4:6). We need a basic understanding of how the world operates and the pressures that come with accessing certain financial levels.

It is when lifting comes that men begin to understand the pressures and exposure that lifting come with. Growth into levels we are hoping for, requires putting God first. It is then that he shields the pressure at the higher level because it has the potential to take us down if we are not hidden in him. God will keep those in perfect peace whose eyes are stayed on him (Isaiah 26:3). The right way to get finances is to put God first. That is where true wealth begins.  You cannot chase money and get God later. If we miss God, we have missed life.

We can find ourselves growing richer in the struggle than without when have a certain level of wealth and knowledge. We are cheating ourselves when we try to run after things and forget God. God wants to bless us as Kingdom entrepreneurs so we can stand and say the Lord is good. He wants the church to be the envy of the world (Isaiah 2:2).

Christianity puts us on top of everyone. If we seek God and he touches us, we can become unrecognizable (Acts 4:13). We must make God the most important thing in our life and decisions. He must be more important than anything and anyone under heaven. It is only then that we will begin to enter real financial freedom and wealth. As we put God first, we will hear one instruction that will move us from here to where we want to be.

  • Know God’s Will for Your Finances.

What is the will of God for you? (Job 36:11). If we obey God and serve him, we shall spend our days in prosperity and our years in pleasures. Ask what is the will of God for my life and finances? (Psalm 35:27) (Psalm 37: 25-26) The knowledge of the will of God is the guarantee that we will win in life. Ask, “What business does God want me to do?”  God can tell us something that may not make sense, but it will make money. Focusing on what is growing in the future is vital. Especially in things such as ecommerce, artificial intelligence, and technological advancements.

  • Maintain the Abundance Mindset.

(Proverbs 23:7, Proverbs 21: 5, Ephesians 3:20). As a man thinks in his heart so is he. What crosses our minds determines what crosses our lives. It is vital to have an abundance mindset. The things that we are managing stem from a poverty mindset, and a lack mentality produces a lack of life.

If money is not in your mind, it can never be in your hands. What is killing us is lack in our minds, not the lack of cash in our pockets. We must have the mindset that God will supply all our needs according to his riches and glory (Philippians 4:19). If we need it, God is more than able to give it. If money is not in our minds, we will not know how easy things are to get because just the look of it will keep us away from it.

Be bold enough to dare it, with the audacity of hope. Be audacious because you are faithful, and you know you can get anything. There is no good thing that is not meant for us to enjoy. Any inconvenience should prompt us to pray more and work hard.

Discover what you would do if money were not a problem and begin to dare it even now. Do not let your pocket determine your life. Cut your coat according to your vision and faith. Cut your coat according to your God and belief. If you believe it, dare it. At least if you fail you tried. Have the audacity of hope to accomplish the things that you dare to dream because even the forces of nature will help you to accomplish them.

We can call the things that be not as though they are by our faith. Because our conscious and subconscious mind might fight when we tell ourselves we have money when we do not, don’t say I have money. Say, “Money!  Wealth!” That is the way we can call it forth by faith and begin to dare! We can dream and have audacity to walk towards our dreams. Dare things knowing there is a grace to help us achieve them. As we put our legs in the footsteps of giants, we begin to take giant steps and arrive only where giants are.

Declare: My Father, thank you for the finished work of Calvary and for my financial liberty. I cannot be poor! Nothing can stop my prosperity in the name of Jesus!

My children will never suffer what I have suffered. The powers of lack end with me! It cannot cross to my children.

I shall defile the status quo of being a first-generation millionaire in my family. What my parents and sibling have not seen, I will enter the reality in the name of Jesus!

Financial Favor will locate me in this season in the name of Jesus as I enter levels of wealth I have never dreamed about!
